Manor House
At the Manor House, you will find a restful haven in a building with a history dating back to the beginning of the 19th century. In 1847 Henry Fancourt White established a workers' base at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains for the construction of the Montagu Pass. Now a National Monument, the Manor House with its 34 bedrooms is situated in a wooded parkland and is the perfect base for your leisure.

Garden Suites
A combination of Old World charm and contemporary luxury is what makes the Fancourt Hotel so distinctive. Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa is the culmination of the vision of Pezula Group Chairman Keith Stewart whose dream was to create a luxury resort in one of the most exquisite locations in the world.
Stewart, born in the UK and raised in Zimbabwe, returned to Africa in the 1990s having made his mark in America. His love of Africa brought him to the Garden Route in 2000 where he bought the land he was to call Pezula, an African word meaning "high up with the gods", which he describes as "the most perfect place on earth."
The property is bordered by the rugged cliffs of the Southern Cape coast, the Sinclair Nature Reserve and the Eastern Head of Knysna. It has panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and Knysna Lagoon.
Stewart's primary goal was the restoration of the land. "For me the opportunity and, indeed, the responsibility to transform a landscape that had been exploited for over 100 years, and to rehabilitate the prime acreage of South Africa's coastline is both exhilarating and rewarding," he says.

The free standing suites, four suites to a villa, are linked by short landscaped pathways to the nearby main building. All suites maximise the spectacular views of the Knysna lagoon or Indian Ocean or the Pezula Championship Golf Course. The suites are decorated in a contempory African style.

There are three suite types, Studio, Villa and Presidential.

Studio

Studio Suites are a generous 58m² (624 square feet) including en suite bathrooms and are available with twin or king-size beds. A comfortable seating area has a real log fireplace, ottoman, desk, leather easy chair, daybed and small dining table and chairs.

Upstairs suites have private balconies and ground floor suites lead to secluded outdoor patios all with panoramic views of the Knysna Lagoon or the Indian Ocean across the golf course.

A ground-floor Studio Suite has been designed and equipped to accommodate paraplegic guests.
Interleading Studio Suites are also available to families.
 

Villa

Villa Suites are a generous 68m² (732 square feet) including en suite bathrooms and are available with twin or king-size beds. A comfortable seating area has a real log fireplace, ottoman, desk, leather easy chair, daybed and small dining table and chairs.

Upstairs suites have private balconies and ground floor suites lead to secluded outdoor patios all with panoramic views of the Pezula Championship Course or the Indian Ocean.

Suites have facilities to accommodate one child under 12 years travelling with an adult, on a fold-away bed. Infant cots can be provided at no additional cost and child minders are available.
Interleading suites cater for families.

Presidential
Kufara and Mufaro are Pezula's ultra luxurious and spacious Presidential Suites. Each suite is 137m² (1 475 square feet) in size and boasts a generous bedroom, king-size bed and seating area, reception area, guest toilet, separate lounge and dining area, real log fireplaces in the bedroom and lounge and a well-equipped kitchen.

Ground floor Mufaro has private patios off the bedroom and lounge and upstairs Kufara has two private balconies. Both have breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and Pezula Championship Course.
